BLOOM365 Counseling Intern

Counseling Intern (MSW or LAC student) will provide individual and group counseling support to teen victims of verbal, emotional, physical and sexual abuse that present elevated challenges to healing, including but not limited to PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, self-harm, and suicide ideation. The Counseling Intern will be supervised by the Clinical Supervisor. The Intern will also coordinate healing arts therapies (art, music, yoga) with local healing arts resource providers, including the Southwest Institute for the Healing Arts and Free Arts Arizona. The intern will maintain a consistent schedule Monday through Thursday from 3pm to 8pm to conduct scheduled and drop-in counseling sessions at BLOOM365’s new “Blooming Point” Center in central Phoenix. Occasionally, sessions may be scheduled during the school day at designated schools or community based sites.

Start Date: September 1, 2017 

Supervision: Provided by contracted clinical supervisor, Kim Beck, LCSW 

Required Training: 7 Dose Bloom It Up Curriculum, 40 Hour DV/SA Training, Trauma Informed Therapy Training 

Internship Location: BLOOM365’s Blooming Point Center, 1715 W. Northern Ave, Phoenix, AZ with occasional off site counseling as requested in schools/community based sites. 

Age of Participants: 13-19 year old teens

Stipend: Beginning October 1, 2017, up to $800/month
